ScaleTap

Privacy Policy

Last updated September 8, 2026

ScaleTap is an offline-first music practice application published by Cairn and Stone Studio.

Data handled by ScaleTap

ScaleTap does not collect, transmit, sell or share personal data. It has no account system, advertising, analytics, tracking identifier, backend or cloud synchronization.

The application stores practice settings, personal presets, personal scale programs and aggregate generation statistics locally on your device. This data remains on the device and is used only to provide the application's features. Uninstalling the application may remove it according to your device's Android settings and backup policy.

Permissions and network access

ScaleTap does not request microphone, camera, contacts or location access. Audio playback may use Android audio settings. The app's musical content, notation and audio playback work without an internet connection.

Google Play and the operating system may independently process technical or account information when distributing, installing or updating the app. Their processing is governed by their own privacy policies and is not controlled by ScaleTap.

Children

ScaleTap is a general music practice tool. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children or any other users.

Changes

If ScaleTap later introduces an online service, analytics, advertising, accounts or payments, this policy and the Google Play Data safety declaration will be updated before that behavior is released.

Contact

Privacy and support contact details are provided on ScaleTap's Google Play store listing. Please do not include personal or sensitive information in public bug reports.
